Frequently Asked Questions
-
No, you do not need a referral. Chiropractors are primary contact healthcare practitioners in Australia, meaning you can book an appointment directly with us at any time.
-
Your first visit is entirely about understanding your body and your goals. Over 45 minutes, we will complete a comprehensive health history, a thorough structural and neurological physical examination, and a functional movement assessment. If appropriate, we will discuss your customised management plan and begin your care during this session.
-
Every body heals at a different pace. Your care plan is completely individualised based on your history, lifestyle, and clinical presentations. Some patients require short-term acute care for a specific injury, while others choose ongoing management to maintain their mobility and long-term joint health. We will always give you an honest recommendation on your first visit.

Absolutely. If your health insurance policy includes "Extras" cover for chiropractic care, you can claim a rebate instantly. We have a HICAPS terminal on-site, meaning you only need to pay the remaining gap on the day of your appointment.
-
It depends. Routine chiropractic visits are not automatically covered by Medicare. However, if you have a chronic condition, your GP may place you on a Chronic Condition Management plan (GPCCMP - formerly known as EPC). This can grant you up to 5 subsidised visits per calendar year. Please bring your GP referral paperwork with you to your initial consultation.
-
Please bring any previous X-rays, MRI scans, or medical reports related to your condition if you have them. If you don't have copies, just let us know the name of the imaging clinic so we can request them for you. Other than that, just wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move around in!
-
We want you to feel completely comfortable. Wear loose, flexible clothing (like gym wear or casual everyday clothes) that allows you to move freely during your movement assessment. There is no need to change out of your normal clothes.
-
Yes! Paediatric chiropractic care uses very gentle, specialised techniques tailored specifically to a child's developing spine and nervous system to help them grow and move comfortably. Our chiropractor has completed additional training specifically around paediatric care and can assess children from newborn.
-
Generally, no. Chiropractic adjustments are highly targeted, skillful movements designed to restore joint function comfortably. While some patients might experience a mild, temporary stretching sensation or brief post-treatment awareness (similar to the feeling after a good workout), most find the experience deeply relaxing and relieving.
-
That sound is completely normal and safe! It is simply a tiny pocket of gas being released from the joint space due to a quick change in pressure during an adjustment. It is not your bones cracking, and its presence or absence does not change how effective your treatment is.
